The holidays are intense to say the very least. This is news to no one. While getting together with family and friends can be a load of fun, it can also be incredibly stressful, and it's always important to take some time for yourself. A little me time can help you relax and recharge, so you can go right back to having tons of holiday fun. Here are some ways you can take some time out for yourself during this busy holiday season.

Treat yourself to lunch.
Try taking an hour out of the day to eat a meal with number one: you. Think of it like a date with yourself, whether it's at a restaurant or a picnic (if you're blessed with good weather like those of us in Southern California).

Go dark on social media.
You might find that taking a day away from social media will help you feel calmer all together. It'll give you the freedom to indulge in your own celebrations, rather than checking in on everyone else's.

Take a bubble bath.
What could be more luxurious than a nice warm bubble bath. Throw on your favorite Spotify playlist, light a candle, and escape the noise of the holiday season. You might even try adding some lavender essential oil for some added relaxation.

Dance!
Or participate in any other type of movement. Personally, we like dancing because it really helps us loosen up, but any form of exercise will lower stress and get your heart pumping.
