HOW TO MAKE A LIFESTYLE CHANGE.

SPRING IS ALL ABOUT CLEANING OUT THE OLD TO MAKE ROOM FOR THE NEW AND IMPROVED.

If you’re ready to take that first step into becoming a better version of yourself, you might not know where to begin. We are all juggling a number of things in our day to day lives, and starting something new means adding another thing to juggle. Whether you’ve decided you want to lose weight, become stronger or just live healthier; we’ve compiled a list of ideas to make the journey easier for you.

1. CREATE A WORKOUT PLAN

If you don’t sit down and create a solid plan, you’ll find yourself flustered and give up before you even start. Take a look at your schedule and designate specific times for your workouts. You’re probably busy, but MAKE the time. A 30 minute workout is better than none.

2. MEAL PREP

Dieting and skipping meals will get you nowhere. The key is to prep your meals before the start of your busy week. Grab a set of tupperware from Ikea, buy fresh groceries and plan your meals. Go for fresh fruit and veggies, whole grains and healthy proteins. This will be the hardest transition to make!

3. MEDITATE

Meditation is a source of healing from the inside out. Practicing it allows you to take a step back from your busy and stressful life and find peace within yourself. Download a guided meditation app on your phone if you’re a first timer!

4. CREATE A HEALTH CONSCIOUS ENVIRONMENT

If your cabinet is full of candy and your TV is sitting in your bedroom ready to play the next episode on Netflix; you’re probably not going to stick with a health regimen. Remove anything from your home that could potentially harm your process. Set your gym clothes out the night before your morning workout, keep your tupperware on the counter as a reminder to meal prep and put motivational quotes all over your house. Doing these things will constantly remind you to make good choices and why you’ve chosen to begin in the first place.

5. BABY STEPS

Follow these ideas at your own pace! Slowly swap out white bread for wheat or one episode of Grey’s Anatomy for 45 minutes of pilates. Once you start implementing these steps into your life, it’ll become a lifestyle change for good.
