MAKE A RACKET!
If you’re finding yourself taking a back seat when it comes to making decisions, or not speaking up enough; you need to tune into your sense of power. Sometimes it’s a good idea to be soft spoken in certain situations, but you also need to learn how to be outspoken and stand up for yourself. When we let other people make decisions for us, they’re usually not right for us. You have the strength to speak up for what you believe in and what you will benefit from. It can be scary to state an opposing opinion to a boss or coworker, but it may be necessary. You should not have to go along with a decision that you do not agree with. We are frequently faced with difficult situations and decisions, whether at work, school or home. It can be as simple as choosing where to eat out with your friends, or as tough as whether or not to fire someone at work. Whatever you’re facing, take some deep breaths and focus on your senses.
Know that you have the power to speak your mind and that it will instantly take the weight off of your shoulders. When it’s over, you’ll be relieved and so proud of yourself for taking the initiative to deal with the situation.
You can do it!
