Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and you may find yourself feeling more jealous or alone than usual. Everywhere you look, you see couples holding hands and cutesy images online with the caption: “relationship goals”. If you’re stressing about not having a Valentine of your own this year, you’re not alone. And let me be the first to say, it's really not that big of a deal.
This is the perfect time to focus solely on yourself and what you need/want. It’s a time to dig down deep and learn how to love yourself before even thinking of loving someone else. If you don’t have a sense of self worth and understanding, you won’t be able to have a healthy relationship in the future. Surround yourself with friends and family that lift you up and create a positive environment around you every day. If you don’t already, take some time out of your day and do something for you and you alone. Go for a walk, meditate, sing, sleep, take a yoga class; anything that will bring self-awareness and happiness to your mind, body and soul. Whatever you choose to do, keep reminding yourself that you are worthy and you ARE enough.
The only thing that truly matters is what you think of yourself and how you feel on a daily basis. If you’re not happy about something, change it! You have the power to be the best you that you can be. No one else can do it for you. You do not need a significant other to make you happy. Creating your own happiness is the key to living a successful and healthy life. Once that other person comes along, you’ll be ready to welcome them into your environment and create a partnership. For now, go out with your girlfriends or spend some time alone with yourself this Valentine’s day. I promise, you’ll make it through all the cheesy Instagram posts and Facebook statuses. 30Fifteen is even hosting a Self Love & Care Workshop after our Pop-Up Shop on Valentine's day, so be sure to stop by for that!
Have a happy Valentine's Day everyone, and don't forget about our #LOVEINSTYLE sale going on now!
