CASE OF THE MONDAYS..

The 30Fifteen Team just could NOT get going this morning, conclusion:
A CASE OF THE MONDAYS. 
We know we weren't alone, so we put together some tips/tricks we use that you can do first thing to get your system going! 


1) MIND OVER MATTER:
Alarm goes off and no movement is happening. No way I can't do this, I can't get up, 5 more minutes, 10 more minutes...whatever you mind is telling you. When this occurs, we count! Yes, really, we count! As if we are starting a race, We give ourselves until 4! (Which we are aware isn't three, we found that compromise with our bodies, by giving us an extra count). In a nutshell, you get out of bed on 4! You got this..
1, 2, 3,4 - GET UP!!! 

2). JUMPING JACKS
You got yourself up but you find yourself staring at the bathroom tiles just not sure what you should do next. We say, JUMP! Do 10 Jumping Jacks, get that circulation flowing, blood to the brain - body is moving! After that, you'll know it's time for the shower! 

3). FEELING LIKE A LEMON
We read so many things about what to have first thing. "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day", "Water, water, water", "Eat before you workout", "Don't eat before you workout, eat after". It can leave us feeling a like a lemon. We all know everyone is different, and everything doesn't work for all. That one size fits all statement, is completely inaccurate. It doesn't, but Lemons do! Get your squeeze on. Whether you're making tea or coffee when you boil the kettle, splash a little of the water in a side cup, squeeze some lemon in it and pound. Done. Flushing out the system with no real effort!
No get that coffee or tea, we all know you need it!  

4). GOT A LITTLE TIME
Not rushing out the door to catch the train or bus, actually leaving the house in an orderly fashion? Get your stretch on. Open your chest, your shoulders, your legs while lengthening your spine in a simple version of Downward Facing dog. Against the wall or the kitchen counter, just fold yourself in half and breath for five. Boom- you'll feel energized, a little taller and definitely proud of yourself! 

Now go get out the day and seize all it has to offer!
