FIRST BBQ OF THE YEAR?
Any one else have their first BBQ over the weekend?! We know some of you did, and we were with you!
We know the temperature wasn't as nice as it has been - in fact, it was pretty chilling in East Sussex. Non the less, there we were, friends and a couple of family members. Insisting we need to start Summer before we all completely loose it!
It was a great success: Sausages got burnt, Mum did her standard "It's Summer Salad" and the Pimms was flowing! So English! Have to admit, starting your summer BBQ's in May, despite being a little chilly - it did mean there are less wasps! (Bonus).
It definitely got us excited for Summer time in England though- for us. There's no better place...just don't make me get on the Central line!
Here's what 30Fifteen daydreams about.
Picnic's in the Park:
Chilling with Friends, Family, Loved ones for a couple of hours, or just taking your lunch to the Park in the week. Everything about it = YES!
Walks outside by the water:
The Thames, Bewl where ever it may be. Water, Sunshine & Fresh Air = Heaven!
Brighton & Eastbourne might be a little pebble centric, but take a little road trip to Bournemouth, stay a night so you can stroll to the sandy beaches. We promise, if it's a warm day and you close your eyes as you stand on the beach, you could be anywhere in the Mediterranean .
Sunbathing in the Garden:
Garden/ rooftop / window ledge. Where ever we can get too...we'll be grabbing the suntan lotion, slipping into our BIkini and getting our bodies in the sunshine. Yes your boyfriends paddling pool idea isn't the same as a luxurious hotel pool, but if you close your eyes and try real hard, you'll think you are!
Did we miss anything? What do you love about English Summertime?
