GIVE YOUR BAGEL A BOOST
Ahhh, bagels. The perfect on the go breakfast. Freshly toasted and topped with chilled cream cheese. Everyone loves a classic, but we at 30Fifteen have been brainstorming how to give your morning bagel a healthy boost. Here are a few of the ideas we've come up with:
1) Add in some veggies! Chop up some sweet baby peppers and cucumbers to layer on top of the cream cheese for a fresh garden crunch. You could also try carrots, bell pepper, onion -- the possibilities are endless!
2) Speaking of crunch, a little dill pickle never did anyone wrong. Layer pickle slices on top of sliced turkey and cream cheese. Top with black pepper for an extra punch of flavor. This topping combo pairs perfectly with an everything bagel.
3)Swap the cream cheese for some creamy, smashed avocado. Add a couple of tomato slices, some spinach leaves, salt and pepper.
4) Looking for something a little heartier? Add some scrambled egg whites to the bagel above and you have a breakfast sandwich style bagel.
5) If you want to try something a little sweeter, take a cinnamon raisin bagel, smear it with peanut butter and drizzle with honey. Or try adding some fruit!
With such a wide variety of bagels and an endless list of toppings, there is an infinite number of bagel possibilities, so be sure to use your imagination when crafting your bagel breakfast. We would just recommend you include as much protein as possible to keep you full and focused throughout your day.
