5 POSITIVE HABITS TO ADOPT TO HAVE A POSITIVE MORNING

Let's face it. We aren't all morning people. Some of us repeatedly hit snooze, dreading the moment that we are forced to roll out of our perfectly comfy beds and face the day. Don't worry. The 30Fifteen team has compiled a list of five positive habits you can adopt to have a more positive morning.

1. Tell yourself it’s going to be a good day!
Also known as POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE! You can get creative with a positive affirmation or literally go to your bathroom look in the mirror at yourself and say “You are amazing, this is going to be a great day!” What you tell yourself is incredibly powerful – so tell yourself good stuff, especially first thing in the morning!

2. Move.
Whether you take a class or just stretch by your bed, take a couple of moments to use your body first thing. This will wake your body up and get you grounded in your body, making you feel able to tackle what the day has in store!

3. Drink water
It’s so easy (and let’s face it, necessary) to head straight for the coffee first thing, but before you do, grab a glass of water. Your body works so hard for you during the night using a lot of internal energy, it’s dehydrated. Grab a glass of water as soon as you wake up to refresh, replenish and hydra te those hardworking cells, and organs. Then, enjoy your coffee!

4. Eat Breakfast!
We get it, hitting the snooze button an extra couple of times most mornings feels way more necessary, but make sure you leave enough time to eat before you leave the house. Like we said above your body works really hard while you’re asleep- sometimes harder than it does when you’re awake. So replenish your body, a car can’t run without fuel, neither can your body! And, believe us, tackling the daily commute with something in your stomach, will feel way less stressful. Thankfully, we have a blog post all about on-the-go breakfasts, so maybe you can still hit the snooze button just once?

5. No Wifi for 30 minutes
Yep we said it! Try not to check your phone for the first 30 minutes upon awaking! Just let the phone sit there. Use this time to be you, be in your body, and notice what it needs, before you check what everyone else is doing and what they may need from you!

Hopefully, after adopting these five positive habits, you'll have more positive mornings that lead to positive days and positive nights! Because we all know that if your morning goes by without a hitch, you're more likely to have a better day overall!
