HAVE A HEADACHE?

You know those days when you’re at work, and your head is pounding to the point of distraction? Headaches can be absolutely killer, and it’s even worse when they begin to distract you from life. Here are some of the things that you can try to relieve your banging headache asap:

1)    Drink some water.
A lot of headaches are caused by dehydration, so drinking the right amount of water every day could help with the pain.

2)    Scalp massages for the win.
You could try massaging the back of your head near the base of your skull. This is where the occipital nerve is located, and giving it a good rub down could possibly help relieve headaches.

3)    Stretch your body.
Another major cause of headaches is muscle tension, so to relieve that stress, you could try stretching out your body. Focus on the neck muscles.

4)    Have some watermelon.
Like we said earlier, a huge cause of headaches is dehydration, so consuming plenty of foods with high water content couldn’t hurt. Celery and citrus are also a good bet.

5)    Peppermint oil.
Studies have shown that peppermint oil could actually improve blood flow when applied to the skin. More blood to the brain could help with some of your pain. You can try dotting peppermint oil on your temples, forehead, and back of your jaw.
