WHY FITNESS FRIEND DATES ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST
Tomorrow is Friday, which means you’re probably currently working out your weekend plans (if you haven’t already). Since today’s #activeApril tip is encouraging you to set up a regular fitness date with a friend, we’re thinking this weekend might be the perfect time to start. Below are some of the many reasons why fitness friend dates are the absolute best:
You get to keep active.
We know. This one is kind of a no-brainer. It is a fitness date after all. It will get you up and moving, keep you healthy, and boost your mood. Plus, you won’t feel like you’ve wasted your Saturday, even if you do nothing else.
It keeps you social.
After a long work week, you might start feeling like work is consuming you, and life is all about balance. So, getting out with someone outside of work is a great way to recharge. Plus, you get to catch up with someone you love!
It doesn’t have to be at the gym.
Now, if you’re a gym rat, and you honestly enjoy spending time on a treadmill, then by all means, enjoy yourself. However, if the gym just isn’t your thing, the weekend fitness date is the perfect time to go for a hike, ride bikes along the beach, or try something new like rock climbing or kickboxing.
It’s the perfect reason to stop for brunch.
