FINDING YOUR 'WHY'
You already know what you do every day and how to do it, but what’s really important is discovering the reason why you do it. Finding your ‘why’ is one of the most important things you can do for yourself, and here’s why:
It is your motivation.
Your ‘why’ is just that: the reason why you get up early on a Saturday morning or stay late at work on a Thursday. It’s the motivation that makes you do the things you do, whether it’s to be a healthier version of you or to really shine at work and snag that promotion.
It helps you build a game plan for life.
Your identity is not just about going to work everyday. It’s about why you are going to work every day, which really just means your goals, right? Once you spend some time contemplating your why, it’s much easier to formulate a game plan to reach your goals.
It helps you figure out what’s really important.
If you sat down and wrote a list of all the things you do in your life, you’ll probably find quite a few things you don’t want to be doing, but feel like you should be doing. Don’t get us wrong, there are always going to be things you might not want to follow but definitely should – like laws or getting up for work in the morning. That being said, this is a great way to start eliminating things that you don’t like and don’t need. Once you do, you might find that life is much more enjoyable.
All these points are just as important too your fitness goals as your life goals, so tell us, why do you want to stay active? Let us know in the comments.
