Playing sports encourages a more healthy lifestyle because we are aware of how doing destructive activities life drugs or alcohol will effect your performance. Even if you don't continue to play at a competitive level in your adult hood - this perception of your body stays with you throughout your life.
Physical activities relieve stress and reduce depression, with the release of endorphins, you'll actually feel happier. We all know adulthood is not easy - whatever stage you are at. Getting involved in a sport or a class at your local gym, will help you burn off that built up stress, anger, resentment - whatever it is- to help you handle life better.
