HOW TO TURN OFF THE OUTSIDE NOISE
There's plenty of noise out there in the world - and we aren't just talking about the charming sounds of a traffic clogged city. We're talking about social media, news outlets, and even the people around you. All of the noise from these things can alter your thoughts and mood - sometimes without you even realizing it. So, if you're finding yourself feeling stressed or distracted, you might want to consider turning off the outside noise. Here are a few ideas of things you can try to find a little peace and quiet:
Unplug for a while.
You might be surprised how much stress social media causes. Setting your phone down for a while and staying off of social media for a while could help you destress and recenter yourself.
Spend some time in nature.
Even if it means going for a walk in your local park. Spending time around nature allows you a little fresh air and vitamin D, which is a huge mood booster.
Everyone knows that fitness can boost your mood through endorphins, and it also provides you the chance to escape the noise of daily life. Why not take it up a notch, and get your fitness through sports? Friendly competition could mean added fun!
Getting creative is a great way to shut out the noise and focus on something you love doing - whether you're painting, writing, or repurposing some old furniture. Check out our post about boosting creativity to get started.
